Important Importables
Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.
The popular 99¢ iPhone/iPod Touch game Pocket God is about to get a lot more exposure, as Bolt Creative is working with Ape Entertainment to create a Pocket God comic book. Ape Entertainment and Bolt Creative brainstormed at a story meeting, and now Ape Entertainment, with the artist Rolando Mallada, will be creating a four issue mini-series. The comic will be released on iTunes and digitally, thanks to iVerse Media, in four standard comic books and in a paperback compilation once all four isses have been released.
The release date of the first issue hasn’t been announced yet, so it may be a good idea to keep an eye on Bolt Creative’s Pocket Blog. I’m sure the company would announce when the Pocket God comic book based on their game is available online and in stores.
There will also be special features, depending on whether you purchase the digital or print copies of the Pocket God comics. The digital comic downloads will have app enhancements, among them the ability to find nearby comic book stores. The physical copies will also have extra content that won’t be in the digital downloads, probably something like extra strips or character sketches.
