Important Importables
Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.
Back at E3 2009, ModNation Racers was one of the most hyped PS3 games announced. But it turns out it isn’t a PS3 exclusive. Sony announced today that ModNation Racers is also a PSP game, and both the PSP and PS3 versions of the game will launch simultaneously.
Sony’s Director of Product Development Erich Waar announced ModNation Racers PSP in an interview with GameSpot. The PSP version has apparently been in development for about as long as the PS3 version, but just wasn’t mentioned at E3 2009.
It sounds like ModNation Racers PSP will have the same features the PS3 version of ModNation Racers. You’ll of course be able to race, but you’ll also be able to create and modify your own characters, cars and tracks. There will also be single and multiplayer modes, and, like the PSP version of LittleBigPlanet, there will be the ability to share custom content.
The few images and gameplay videos shown in the GameSpot interview look really good. I mean surprisingly good. Not as good as the PS3 version of ModNation Racers, but of course that’s to be expected.
