Okay, so that happened. Even though it’s two months out, that hasn’t stopped anyone from speculating on every detail of the questionably named iPad. Regardless of what anyone thinks, we can all agree that this thing will sell gangbusters upon release.

Though, who really cares? That’s two months away. You want games now, so without any more interruptions here’s this week’s App Store update lead by the notable Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, ESPN Linebacker, Fruit Farm Tycoon and Jane’s Hotel.

Skipping the pleasantries, the biggest question this week is what Apple plans to unveil on Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Will it be the fabled Apple tablet? Will it be iPhone OS 4.0? Will it be the ability to purchase iMacs and Macbooks in pretty colors? Only Steve Jobs and company know for sure.

While we wait at least we can depend on Rock Band Lite, Sea Wolves, Hotel Tycoon, and Are you Alright? to keep our minds preoccupied.

If you need a little help getting into the holiday spirit with three weeks remaining, there are plenty of games on this App Store update to help you with that. For starters we have Amateur Surgeon Christmas Edition, Air Hockey Christmas Edition, and others. Well, the holiday shopping season has officially been kicked into full swing, hopefully you had good luck over the weekend and on Cyber Monday (which is why we’ve pushed this post to Super Tuesday, or whatever you want to call it). Short list this week folks, not a whole lot to pick from but your best gaming app bets for this week are Jelly Car 2, EGO City Invasion, RPG Quest Minimae, and Anagram Fun. Maybe next week will bring a more plentiful bounty.
