Avatar Showdown is an indie game developed by JForce Games and is one of the first games that allows you to fight with your Xbox Live avatar. It is currently available from the Xbox Live Indie Games store for 80 Microsoft points (US$1). I couldn’t think of a better price because, frankly, that’s all this game is really worth.

Crackdown 3 may use Natal technology
Ruffian producer James Cope spoke with CVG recently and expressed interest in using Project Natal in future Crackdown games. Cope says Natal wouldn’t work with Crackdown‘s style at this point, but that could change in the future.
Sonic petition says, “Sonic 4 will simply not be anywhere near as good as the original Sonic games”
According to the petition, these fans want SEGA to bring back its old games just as they were so many years ago. They have reached the conclusion that they will not buy another Sonic game unless Sonic 4 is changed. In fact, they’ve decided to go out and buy the original Sonic the Hedgehog instead to show SEGA they mean business.
Zombies vs. Cheerleaders comic, where’s the video game?
Instead of zombies in the head, we can connect two chainsaws to a paddle a la Dead Rising 2, or send the garden after them like in Plants vs. Zombies. What other highly entertaining situations can we turn into a zombie killing fest? How about Zombies vs. Cheerleaders?
Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M to be released in mid 2010
Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M are two titles Nintendo announced release windows for today (February 23, 2010) in Australia. IGN alleges the two games will be available between June and August 2010.
Street Fighter IV will cost $9.99 on iPhone, iPod Touch
Street Fighter IV will release on the App Store in March 2010 for $9.99. It will feature a roster of eight characters including Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Blanka, Guile, M. Bison, Dhalsim and Abel. We’ll basically get some old favorites and one newbie.
Unreal Engine 4 won’t be available for several years
Mark Rein, president of Epic Games, spoke to Kotaku during DICE and stopped expectations of possibly seeing Unreal Engine 4 anytime soon. The reason for this is that Unreal Engine 4 requires multi-core processors that Epic feels the PS3 and Xbox 360 can’t provide. Rein believes there is a chance the successors of the PS3 and Xbox 360 may not be up to snuff as well.
Valve says it will develop PS3 games, eventually

Valve’s Chet Faliszek was asked whether any of Valve’s franchises will ever come to the PS3. His response suggested Valve hasn’t started developing yet, but will in the future.
ESRB rates PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap
