Important Importables
Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.
Celebrating Adam Malysz’s silver medal in Men’s Ski Jumping, Polish developer Vivid Game’s Boozle is “free as long as the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics last” (according to a press release sent February 19, 2010). The 2010 Winter Olympics taking place in Vancouver, Canada, will officially end February 28, 2010.
Boozle is a match-3 style game where you have to try and balance between clearing food versus beverages. Consume too much on one side or the other and your avatar unleashes the contents of his stomach upon your screen.
No, really. Check out the Boozle screen shots in the Photo Gallery.
It’s kinda cute but certainly worth a download if you like relatively short match-3 games with a small twist. At least the price is right.
Vivid also created Ski Jumping 2010 for the iPhone and iPod Touc. The company likely decided to make Boozle its freebie since, according to the company’s home page, Ski Jumping 2010 is the “best selling Polish game to date” and was on the Top Paid Apps list in the Polish Apps Store the day it launched (February 16, 2010).
