Music's not problem, but movies would hog that 8GB pretty quickly. Unless you want to keep shuffling movies on off, I'd look into at least getting a 16GB.

What are the specific apps with which this is happening? I'm wondering if the developers have done something wrong with how updates are handled.

Some of the jump scares are good, Jessica. The controller shakes, however, will mostly be out of control frustration, not scares.
