Comic Con 2008: International Independent Film Festival winners
During Comic Con 2008, many games and comics were featured. And who wouldn’t want to attend a special preview of today’s most talented directors and animators create independent film masterpieces. The Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival consisted of movies that fell into seven categories: action/adventure, animation, comics-oriented, documentary, humor/parody, horror and science fiction/fantasy. Dark Horse Comics, Universal sign three-year movie deal
While Marvel and DC might get most of the notice when it comes to comic book-inspired movies, Dark Horse Comics has had its share of hits movies based off of the company’s comics including Aliens vs Predator, The Mask, Pathfinder and 2007’s smash hit, 300. With upcoming release of Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Universal Studios and Dark Horse Comics have signed a three-year deal, which gives Universal Studios the exclusive rights to all comic books published under Dark Horse.

Even Sony says the PSP needs more games
David Reeves, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) recently told Games Industry that game development for the PSP is a bit like a circus.
“Honestly… we should have had more original PSP games. We took this decision maybe a year ago and said what we’ll do now is we’ll bring out more services because we know that the games are coming. We now have to go back and think more about the games because if we lose that advantage - well it’s not really an advantage, it’s the advantage Nintendo have on DS. It’s like in the circus - you’ve got to keep all the plates up, you know? So the plate we’ll be working on now will be the games on PSP.“
