Turok goes platinum, gets new downloadable content
The dinosaur-slaying comic character Turok made his debut in video games in 1997 with the release of Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, a Nintendo 64 and PC game. This January, the series returned on PS3 and Xbox 360 and has already gone platinum.

NA Turok demo available on Xbox Live

A new, free demo of Touchstone’s Turok is available on Xbox Live. It is a substantial download at 1.17 GB, and gives players a taste of what the single player mode of the new shooter/action game. Of course the most important thing is that it is free, so it may be worth a quick try.
Turok stars Joseph Turok, who’s a member of a secret squad called Whiskey Company and is assigned to capture his criminal mentor, Roland Kane. As is, that should have been a fairly interesting plot devise. However Turok is set in the future, where nothing is too ludicrous. Also Kane is smart enough to retreat with his Mendel-Gruman army to a planet populated by dinosaurs and big bugs. So essentially Joseph Turok’s just a glorified exterminator.
Disney announces release date for Turok

Among the announcements of DGamer and a slew of casual games aimed for younger gamers, Disney Interactive announced the release date for next-gen FPS Turok at the company’s E3 2007 presentation. The Propaganda Games development is set to hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 February 5, 2008.
