Smashing Pumpkins to debut new song in Guitar Hero: World Tour

Today is the greatest: Activision has just announced a slew of The Smashing Pumpkins/Guitar Hero news that will have fans jumping for joy. Most exciting is the announcement that the band’s newest single, “G.L.O.W.“ will have its debut as part of a downloadable content pack in the upcoming game. The other songs in the pack include “1979” and “The Everlasting Gaze”, and all will be available “post-launch”. Also exciting: the song “Today” will be a part of the in-game setlist (not DLC) and a virtual Billy Corgan will perform whenever the song is selected. No word on whether we’ll get Billy pre- or post-shaved head. We shall see.
Ok, I’m officially excited. As a fan of the band and of the grungy, ultra-‘90s vibe they bring, I’ll be rocking out to “Today” for sure. If the developers are listening, I’d also like an unlockable “Tonight, Tonight” video, if there’s room.
