Circuit City’s Cyber Monday 2008 game deal - buy a game, get a gift card

by Jenni Lada on Dec 1, 2008 at 11:02 AM

Circuit City Cyber Monday 2008
Circuit City‘s Cyber Monday 2008 sale is somewhat lackluster. At least, when it comes to video games its fairly anticlimactic. If you purchase one of ten select DS, PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 games, you will receive a $10 Circuit City gift card. Of course, with Circuit City declaring bankruptcy and closing so many stores, this deal may not be the smartest one to bet on.

All of the games are quite popular ones. Nintendo games elligible for this deal are Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii), Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS), Prince of Persia: The Fallen King (DS) and Wii Music (Wii). Call of Duty: World at War (PS3 or Xbox 360), Gears of War 2 (Xbox 360), Prince of Persia (PS3 or Xbox 360) and Resistance 2 (PS3) are also part of the deal. Oddly enough, many of the participating games are unavailable, as the Prince of Persia games are listed as pre-orders and the Prince of Persia: The Fallen King game is shown as coming soon, with no option to even place an order…

Best Buy offers selected Cyber Monday 2008 game sales

by Jenni Lada on Dec 1, 2008 at 10:08 AM

Best Buy Cyber Monday 2008
Best Buy‘s 2008 Cyber Monday sales are up. They aren’t as monumental as the Black Friday 2008 sales, but there are still a few good game deals to be had. It may be a good chance to get some game gifts. Most of the deals involve a cheaper price on a new release, or a buy one game, get another game at a reduced price. So you may want to check it out.

The majority of the sales are on PS3, Xbox 360 and DS games. There are some games from other systems to spice things up though. It also seems like at least half the sale games are “family friendly” or geared towards a younger audience, so if you have a young gamer who is wanting a hot title, this could be your chance. Be quick though, as quite a few deals are already sold out online.

Best Buy’s Cyber Monday 2008 video game sales are as follows…

Amazon’s Thanksgiving weekend, Cyber Monday 2008 game deals

by Jeremy Hill on Nov 30, 2008 at 01:16 PM

cyber mondayBy now we’ve licked our wounds and recovered from the madness that’s known as Black Friday. Even though waiting in long lines in blustery cold weather is over, deals on games are still running strong.

Amazon still has some pretty amazing deals that will last until Monday (December 1, 2008). For example, how would you like to own Far Cry 2 for $17.95 or Infinite Undiscovery for $18.95? Say what you will about some reviews but these games are certainly worth one Andrew Jackson. There are steals like these spread out across all consoles and this list will cover some of the most notable. Most of these games are eligible for free shipping if your total purchase exceeds $25. These bargains won’t be around for much longer so get to it…

by Kris Rosado on Nov 26, 2008 at 11:46 AM

Mario DSI bet many of you have this vision of Nintendo sitting back eating some mystical golden cash turkey and spending Black Friday sleeping of massive amounts of tryptophan (the stuff that makes you sleepy after eating turkey) on mattresses stuffed with cash, dreaming about the holiday shopper circus frenzy in retailers across the country. Well, you’re probably right especially since Nintendo is offering up two new limited edition DS bundles for which shoppers will have to compete for in some form of death ring.

The first of the bundles will be offering up a fully crimson red painted DS with a Mario M logo stomped on the system’s top cover. It will also come bundled with a copy of New Super Mario Bros., a game which I watched go out of stock more than any other DS game…

Walmart Black Friday 2008 ad leaked - has plenty of video game deals

by Jenni Lada on Nov 22, 2008 at 10:42 PM

Walmart Black Friday 2008 adOne of this season’s most anticipated Black Friday ads for 2008, the Walmart ad, has just been leaked. BlackFriday.info, Black Friday Ads and CAG are all reporting on the various deals in the ad, with both BlackFriday.info and Black Friday Ads offering complete scans of the leaked circular.

While it doesn’t look all that varied at first glance, there are quite a few substantial deals. One of the most prominent sales states that 50 assorted video games will be on sale for under $16. The advertisement doesn’t elaborate on what games will be part of this deal, but five DS games (Barbie: The Island Princess, Ben 10 Defender of Earth, Bratz: 4 Real, Cake Mania 2 and Lego Star Wars II) and seven Wii games (Barbie: The Island Princess, Cooking Mama Cook Off, Game Party, Namco Museum Remix, Spongebob Squarepants: Creature from Krusty Krab, Summer Sports Paradise and Wonder World) are shown in the ad image.

The complete list of video game sales, as taken from the ad circular scan leaked online, are as follows…
