Cut/Scenes: Gore Verbinksi and the Bioshock movie

by Danielle Riendeau on May 15, 2008 at 12:05 PM

Cut/Scenes
By now, we’ve all heard the news that Pirates of the Caribbean director Gore Verbinski will direct the big-screen adaptation of thoughtful underwater shooter Bioshock. Bioshock goes mobile

by Danielle Riendeau on Feb 14, 2008 at 09:22 PM

Bioshock

One thing is certain - there’s no way the game will be a straight port. Bioshock was one of the most technologically impressive titles of last year, so you’d need a mobile device from 2012 to play anything like it. A few people in the gaming blogosphere are hoping for a point and click adventure title, which could make decent use of limited graphical capabilities while still remaining true to the story-driven nature of the property. I’m just hoping they don’t try to make a collection of the Pipe Dream-esque hacking minigame, slap the Bioshock name on it, and call it a day.
