Namco Bandai has just announced an amazing incentive to preorder Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm for the PS3 at certain stores - downloadable content (dlc). That’s right, you’ll get free stuff, only available by a direct download, if you decide to preorder the game at GameStop/EB Games or GameCrazy. There is a dilemna though - each store will have a different preorder deal.

If you stop by your local GameCrazy and preorder, you’ll receive a download card with your game that will unlock the Hidden Leaf Village’s Second Hokage as a support character and also provide a new single-player mission. If you decide to go to GameStop/EB Games’ website or store and preorder, you’ll get a card that unlocks the First Hokage support character and another single-player mission. Since these are going to be cards that unlock dlc, they’ll most likely be good for one download only, so you’ll have to decide which Hokage you think looks best…

Oh snap. Amazon is offering an adorable, red stuffed squirrel preorder for Rune Factory 2. Technically, it isn’t a “squirrel.“ It’s a Chipp - a type of monster present in the first Rune Factory and most likely in Rune Factory 2 as well. Chipps were one of the first monsters you’d encounter. Not very menacing, but easily one of the cutest in the game.

This shouldn’t come as a surprise though, as Amazon also offered a stuffed chicken preorder for Natsume’s other recent release, Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. What is surprising, is that this deal is an Amazon exclusive. Typically, Natsume preorder bonus items are available at most major game retailers, but only Amazon’s offering the extra incentive this time around…

Ninja Town is going to be arriving with quite a bit of fanfare in the US - a bit ironic. You’d think a ninja themed game would stealthly slip into stores, but Ninja Town doesn’t star typical ninjas, so I guess it fits. In case you haven’t heard of the game, it is a tower defense style title, which means you have to protect a certain area and keep enemies from progressing, and you strategically place ninjas on the map to accomplish this goal.

Ninja Town‘s release is going to be celebrated with a limited GameStop preorder promotion and parties attended by the people behind the game. First, the GameStop promo - the first 200 people who preorder the game will receive a small stuffed toy of Ninja Dropping, Business Ninja, Feroshi the dino slug, Wee Devil or Zombie Ninja…

The days are counting down to the September 5, 2008m European release of Spore with the North American release just a couple days later. If the Spore Creature Creator is any indication, we can expect Spore to be flying off store shelves the minute the doors open.

That’s probably why it’s a good idea to go ahead and pre-order the PC version right now straight from EA. You can also pre-order the Mac version of the game…

The hype machine behind the PS3 exclusive title LittleBigPlanet continues to pick up steam as we near closer to its October 2008 release date. We know of several truly unique gameplay features such as the ability to capture images using the PlayStation Eye and placing them into the game, YouTube upload support and, of course, Trophies.

As if creating unique stages from scratch with friends online wasn’t enough to warrant a purchase, SCEA’s Marketing Manager, Mark Valledor, posted on the PlayStation Blog telling of goodies that will accompany LBP pre-orders…

If God of War: Chains of Olympus isn’t enough for you, then head over to your local GameStop today. Yesterday (March 5, 2008) all GameStop stores in North America began taking preorders for the PS3 title God of War III. If you check in with the site, it reports that God of War III will be out in March 2009 for $59.99. Sure you’ll have to wait a year to get the game, but at least you’ll have the warm reassurance of knowing you have first dibs.

Insecticide, an upcoming Nintendo DS game, will be released on February 26, 2008. It originally was slated for a February 12, 2008 release. Perhaps the delay is due to Gamecock Media’s announcement of a limited edition artbook that will be included with preorders of the game. The official press release states that GameStop stores will be offering the special preorder deal.

Insecticide, for those who don’t know, is a highly anticipated and quirky title featuring bug detectives investigating a suspicious murder. The title combines wit, puzzles, shooting and stylish backgrounds to present a story the likes of which has never been seen on the handheld.

The Insecticide artbooks will only be available with preorders and will contain codes to allow access to information online. The art books themselves will be 16 colorful pages and will of course contain art and designs from the game. One of the most promising aspects of this deal is that a complete strategy guide is one of the online materials that will be accessible with the artbook’s code.
