Bejeweled Twist to put a new spin on a classic
Get ready to spend more hours killing time in front of your computer - PopCap has just released Bejeweled Twist. Currently, the casual puzzle game is available only through the official Bejeweled Twist site, both as a free demo and a 19.95 full version and is designed for Windows XP and Vista machines. PopCap is also offering a deal where people can get Bejeweled, Bejeweled Twist and Bejeweled 2 for $34.95. Bejeweled Twist will be available in stores and on other game portals on November 18, 2008.
The new version has you rotating four gens in the grid to match up three or more gems of the same color to eliminate lines. PopCap launches portable Peggle Mobile
Peggle, one of PopCap Games’ most popular and addictive titles, is now available on cell phones in the US. Soon, European fans will also be able to enjoy the addicting casual puzzle game as well. Peggle Mobile officially launched yesterday (September 30, 2008), and is the latest step in PopCap’s quest to bring its games to mobile devices.
Peggle Mobile is very similar to its PC and console counterparts. There are 55 levels, 10 teachers, 10 powers, 55 Grand Master Challenges and the ability to face other Peggle Mobile users in Duel Mode. Not bad, for a cell phone game. SpinTop‘s Amazing Adventures Around the World is another “hidden object” kind of puzzle game, like those ones you used to see in Highlights magazine. This is the second game in the Amazing Adventures series, the first was Amazing Adventures: The Lost Tomb, released November 21, 2007. Bejeweled 2 for iPhone, iPod Touch drops onto Apple App Store

PopCap Vol 2 headed to the PS2

PopCap Games is going to be releasing another $19.95 budget video game for the Playstation 2. PopCap Hits Volume 2 will contain two of PopCap’s most popular titles, Zuma and Heavy Weapon. The title marks the PS2 debut of both games and will be available sometime in June, 2008. Both of the casual games in the collection were previously released on Xbox Live Arcade with great success.
