Sony reps are hard selling the Playstation Eye (successor of the Eye Toy) for the PS3 as the new, ultimate casual gaming device, claiming the add-on device has more motion-sensing potential than the Wii controllers (and they might have a point).
The Playstation Eye will be bundled with The Eye of Judgement card game in Japan that releases on October 25, 2007. Its U.S and European launch is expected to coincide with the release of the game SingStar there. However, there has been no word on the price of this add-on camera.
The Eye of Judgement is a card game with a 3x3 board and 9 blocks for placing cards. The Playstation Eye’s keen eye would recognize the cards and replicate the game on screen with surreal monsters and their magical abilities.
