Gamertell Review: Iron Man for PSP
Title: Iron Man
Price: $29.99
System(s): PSP (also available on DS, Wii, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)
Release Date: May 2, 2008
Publisher (Developer): Sega (Havok)
ESRB Rating: “Teen” for alcohol reference, mild language and violence.
Pros: Captures the essence of the character quite well with the ability to fly at any time and use various weapons. Good looking (if not entirely accurate) cutscenes and nice bonuses.
Cons: Early stages a bit long and clunky. PSP controls get in the way throughout the game.
Overall Score: Two thumbs sideways; 73/100; C; * * out of 5.
Iron Man for PSP could have been a much more fun game if it weren’t for those pesky PSP controls. It has pretty good looking graphics, rather fluid character movements and even some decent attacks (and voice acting). Otherwise, it’s quite a letdown that starts slow and never quite redeems itself.

Make your own hero with Marvel
The official Marvel Kids site has a brand new application which is a great distraction for anyone with an internet connection and anywhere from 10~20 minutes. It’s a “Create your Own Super Hero” program, which lets you piece together different parts to create your own hero or heroine.
You may think it’s just like the countless other doll makers that you might find online, but it’s not. It’s better. After choosing one of three body types, you are given a blank template. There are quite a few accessory and accent options, and each one starts out blank when they appear on the character. After you’ve selected the items you want to appear on your character, you can color him or her using practically any color you want. You can use offered color swatches, or pick a hue from a color scale. This aspect alone guarantees character individuality.
Marvel Universe Online defeated
It is a dark day for Marvel fans worldwide as Microsoft has done what Magneto, Galactus and Doctor Doom haven’t managed to do in over 70 years, and that is destroy Marvel Universe Online.
In an interview with MTV, Microsoft Game Studios’ Corporate Vice President, Shane Kim, confirmed what thousands of Marvel fans had been dreading to hear: the online game that was to be centered on the Marvel Comic universe was indeed canceled and production stopped…
Every friggin’ Halo thing seen at ComiCon 2007
In researching my previous Halo 3 post regarding the announcement of the Weta Limited acquiring the Halo license, I came across one of the best - if not the only - wrapup writeups of the Halo sightings at ComiCon 2007. Granted, it’s a insider’s blog by Microsoft employees but it still has some great information.
