New DLC coming to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Still making you way through Star Wars: The Force Unleashed? Or have you thrust it aside in favor of something shiny and new? Well, LucasArts has revealed some sweet-sounding downloadable content for their force-powered action title, including a new level and new characters to pummel bad guys with.
1Up is reporting that the new stage will take place at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, and was one of about eight stages cut from the game. The level will reportedly be a place where “The Apprentice” will go to learn more about his father, and will be somewhere between the Raxis Prime and Cloud City levels in size. New characters include old trilogy favorites and newer characters alike, including Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mund, and Kit Fisto.

Overall Score: One thumb up, one thumb sideways; 84/100; B; * * * out of five.
LucasArts decided to conquer the task of creating a Nintendo DS version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed by not creating a simple port but, instead, a slightly different take utilizing the Nintendo DS’s unique touchscreen, using he same core story and adding some missions, a few new opponents and a multiplayer mode. The result is a decent game with an interesting controls scheme although it is not nearly as engrossing or addictively enjoyable as the big brother version

System(s): DS (Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation2, PC, Wii, PSP)
Release Date: June 3, 2008

Dear LucasArts: Please release a DS version of Maniac Mansion
Dear LucasArts,
I’m writing to you as a fan of your classic adventure games. I feel your recent games are getting a bit repetitive. How many Star Wars games does one need to own?
Which brings me to my point: There should, nay, there must be a re-release of Maniac Mansion.
Maniac Mansion was a brilliant adventure game that was…
More Lucasarts alums join Telltale Games
Telltale Games, a haven for former Lucasarts talents, has just acquired two more with the hiring of longtime Lucasarts alums Mike Stemmle, Justin Chin and Brett Totsi.
For those following Sam & Max‘s history these past few years, Stemmle’s name should be more than just slightly familiar. He directed Sam & Max Hit the Road the 1993 adventure game which started most people’s infatuation for the dog and rabbity thing duo, as well as the ill-fated sequel, Sam & Max: Freelance Police, which was…
