Alfred to serve some pain in Lego Batman: The Video Game
Along with Robin, Batman will enlist the aid of Batgirl and his trusty butler Alfred. Yes you read that correctly, Alfred will be a playable character in Lego Batman: The Video Game.
Let’s face it, we usually look at Alfred as being Batman’s father figure. He gets tea, irons cloths and is one of the only people Batman trusts with his secret identity. However, Alfred is tougher than some of us may think. Alfred used to be an

Gamertell Review: Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures for Xbox 360
Title: Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
System(s): Xbox 360 (PS3, Wii, PS2, DS, PSP, PC)
Release Date: June 3, 2008
Publisher (Developer): Lucas Arts (Traveller’s Tales)
ESRB Rating: Everyone
Pros: Fun game play, nice graphics, great sound, funny, classic Lego adventure, lots of unlockables, plenty of replay value
Cons: Some difficult puzzles and jumps, no real change in basic game play, too short and doesn’t include anything from the new movie
Overall Score: Two Thumbs Up, 90/100, A-, * * * * out of five
Lego Indy probably isn’t going to win any Game of the Year awards, nor will it be the most memorable of the Lego games, but it was still a joyful ride. It’s hard to find any serious faults and if you like collecting lots of hidden items and movie memorabilia, then you’ll have a lot of fun exploring every level. Fans young and old of Indiana Jones and casual gamers will certainly enjoy this game.

Gamertell Review: Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures for DS
Title: Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
Price: $29.99
System(s): DS (Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation2, PC, Wii, PSP)
Release Date: June 3, 2008
Publisher (Developer): LucasArts (TT Games)
ESRB Rating: “Everyone” for carton violence.
Pros: Good sense of humor, decent action, fairly easy to pick up and play, cute graphics and fun-to-play characters. Nice unlockables including touchscreen minigames.
Cons: Jumping can be a bit inaccurate and camera is sometimes wonky or puts playable character out of view.
Overall Score: One thumb up, one thumb sideways; 87/100; B+; * * * 1/2 out of 5
There’s plenty of hidden stuff and lots of unlockables, both feeding the addictive nature of completionist gamers and giving everyone else a reason to go back and replay levels as incongruous characters. It’s silly, it’s fun and it’s not going to be banned by anyone. Get it, play it and share it with your family and friends.

Lego Batman update: Introducing Lego Mr. Freeze
As part of the trickle-out-press-releases ploy now popular with so many game companies, Warner Bros. has released images of Mr.Freeze for the upcoming LegoBatman: The Videogame game. There he is, looking all shades of cool and stuff.
Lego Batman is being developed by Travelers Tales (aka TT Games) and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and is expected to be released September 2008 for current-gen consoles and PC.
Besides Mr. Freeze, other confirmed characters include…
Summer 2008 PC and console videogame preview
Much like the movie industry started the season with the release of Iron Man, the game industry has already started off Summer 2008 on the sunny side with Grand Theft Auto 4 and Mario Kart Wii.
Typically this is the time of year when gamers have to sort through stacks of games lacking in quality and originality. Summer 2007 was a particularly low point in what was otherwise the most profitable gaming year in history. For Summer 2008, however, many high-profile titles should help make this am unusually more enjoyable season..

Holy Halo, it’s LEGO
Sorry everyone, but LEGO Halo is all a hoax. Every year Electronic Gaming Monthly does an April Fool’s joke, and their joke for this year happened to leak a bit early. Xbox 360 Fanboycame across a scan from the April 2008 issue of EGM, saw the doctored LEGO Halo image, and ran with a story on it. The Xbox 360 Fanboy original article has since been modified to show the truth about LEGO Halo.
LEGO Batman screens released
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has just released a plethora of new LEGO Batman screenshots, showing off favorite characters like the Penguin, the Joker, Croc and Catwoman. The screens also confirm the presence of the Batmobile (as if anyone would dare make a Batman game without it...), and the moody environments of Gotham city.
Expect LEGO Batman to have a great deal in common with its predecessor, LEGO Star Wars in terms of content (light hearted action-adventure) and style (the LEGO look and feel). The game is being developed by Traveler’s Tales and is slated for release on the PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Wii and PSP in fall 2008.

LucasArts announces Lego Indiana Jones
Last Friday (July 27, 2007) at ComiCon, LucasArts unveiled a new action adventure title based on the Indiana Jones franchise – Lego Indiana Jones. The classic Indy films will be getting the Lego block treatment that worked so well for Star Wars in this Travelers Tales developed title, due Summer 2008 for all the next-gen systems.
The game takes place across all three classic Indy flicks and gameplay includes vine-swinging, giant boulder dodging, and all sorts of platforming action. The trailer also shows a great deal of the humor characteristic of the Lego Star Wars titles, a good sign for Dr. Jone’s adventure.
If its Star Wars brothers are any indication, Lego Indiana Jones will be something to look forward to next summer. If it does well, imagine what other famous film trilogies could benefit from Lego treatment – Lord of the Rings? Aliens? I hope the licensing gods are listening.
