Bethesda “anxious” about Fallout 3 reviews
In the face of months, if not years, worth of anticipation from fans for Fallout 3, developer Bethesda Softworks is understandably “anxious” about the first wave of reviews for the game. Will the game live up to the hype fans have created for it, or will it fall flat?
A Bethesda PR spokesperson told Edge that the company is never really sure how reviewers will respond to its games, ensuring that developers are always anxious during the launch period. He goes on to say that the first few reviews had been reassuring, including the 10 out of 10 score issued by the Official Xbox Magazine in the U.S.
The Xbox 360 version of Fallout 3 currently has a 93 out of 100 “Universal Acclaim” rating on Metacritic and…
No Fallout 3 for India, mutant cows might be to blame

While gamers await the highly anticipated launch of Fallout 3 in their home territory later this month - October 28, 2008, in North America, October 30, 2008, in Europe and Australia, and October 31, 2008, in the UK - Microsoft has confirmed that India will not be receiving the game at all.

Fallout 3 to be teased at PAX 2008
Bethesda’s impressive upcoming title Fallout 3 is set to have quite the showing at PAX 2008 (held in Seattle this weekend, August 29-31, 2008). The game will be playable to the public for the first time ever, at Bethesda’s booth. The company is promising six kiosks (get there early!) and a number of devs on hand to guide players through the experience and answer questions.
That’s not all. The post-apocalyptic shooter/RPG will also have a lengthy demo Saturday afternoon in the main theater, just after the highlight session with Gabe and Tycho (The Penny arcade uber-celebrities themselves). The demo goes on at 2:30 pm.

Bethesda’s previous RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, debuted simultaneously only for the PC and 360 in March 2006, leaving PS3 owners to wait an entire year for their port to hit stores. Fallout 3 is due to hit the three platforms Q3 2008.
Since starting up development on the latest chapter of the celebrated RPG series, Bethesda has needed to…
