Serious Games releases browser-based demo for Global Conflicts: Latin America

The release of an intriguing, educational Mac and PC game is just on the horizon - Global Conflicts: Latin America is going to be released October 23, 2008. This European game attempts to teach students (and gamers) about the problems in Latin America by casting them as a journalist sent to the region to report on what’s happening there. There are five missions, each one with multiple issues that can be addressed, and each mission is created in a way which would allow a student to finish it in under two hours…
World of Warcraft’s Russian launch

Blizzard Entertainment is really commited to its goal to bring World of Warcraft to gamers around the world. It has just announced that on August 6, 2008, the Russian version of the popular massive multiplayer online rpg (MMORPG) and the The Burning Crusade expansion pack will be released in Russia.
There will be both Windows and Mac versions of World of Warcraft and the expansion sold on the release date, as well as two different buying options. People can buy a DVD box version with a one month subscription or a CD box version with a 14-day subscription. There will also be Russian accounts with a 359 ruble month-to-month plan, a 329 ruble three month plan and a 299 ruble six month plan. (Note: All plans cost a monthly fee, but if you commit for longer, you’ll get a better price.)
Conspiracy Entertainment to bring European titles to the US
Conspiracy Entertainment recently announced that a new agreement with German game publisher and developer RTL Games Ltd. will allow Conspiracy Entertainment to distribute RTL’s new game releases in the US, Canada and Mexico.
RTL Games Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the RTL Interactive GmbH and a subsidiary of the German division of Europe’s leading entertainment network, RTL Group, has designed and published casual style videogames for a variety of game publishers to include the Nintendo Wii system. Titles include Ski Alpine Racing 2007 and Simon the Sorcerer.
Since August 1, 2007, RTL has been working on developing games for all consoles including a few sports title under the name of Black Inc. and, although the agreement has just been signed, are looking forward to publishing adventure, action and sports titles for the US. As of yet no stateside releases or titles have been named.
