Chop Til You Drop this Christmas
The addictive zombie slaying gameplay we’ve come to love in Dead Rising on the Xbox 360 will soon be coming to the Wii Q4 2008. This is a shocking title to be ported over to the often family-friendly Nintendo Wii but it’s certainly more than welcome.
As expected, there will be some changes made to the Wii version including the name, which will become Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop, a simply awesome title.
The WiMote plays a vital role as it will be used to…
New figures of buxom beauties Ivy, Morrigan coming Fall 2008
Making the bounding leap from screen to shelf, Soul Calibur 3‘s Ivy and Darkstalkers‘ Morrigan are being produced as fine quality PVC models of their polygonal counterparts. For such perfection, however, buyers should not only be willing to sell their souls to these sirens, but also relinquish some seriously hard earned moolah.

Resident Evil 5 impresses at E3
Resident Evil 5 has been shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and controversial title within the franchise. Due to Capcom’s brilliant idea of discussing a movie for an entire hour during their press conference we were left with no new information on RE5. But Capcom wasn’t going to completely pull a fast one the folks at E3 as they released a new trailer, some co-op gameplay footage, and some info surrounding the control scheme.
The plot surrounding the game is still pretty vague as of this moment but here’s what we know: The game will take place ten years after the events in RE and Chris Redfield is the…
Recap of Capcom’s E3 2008 press conference
Capcom officially ended the second day of press conferences for E3 2008 (4:30 p.m. PT, Tuesday, July 15, 2008) by going in a completely different direction. Rather than showing the audience some screenshots of their new title Flock or discussing the gameplay and the controversy surrounding Resident Evil 5, they instead decided to premier the mini trailer of Lost Planet: The Movie and talk about it.
After showing the CG’ed trailer the company rolled out some of the people working on the film to discuss it which included, Avi Arad (producer of the first two Spider-Man films) and (the voice of Solid Snake himself, and writer/co-writer of the first two X-men film) David Hayter.
Most of the conference ended up being a…
Download Mega Man 9 on any major next-gen console
At E3, Capcom clearly showed that it isn’t playing favorites with Mega Man 9, as the game will be available as a Wiiware, Xbox Live and Playstation Network download before the end of Fall 2008. The game is an homage to the original Mega Man games, and picks up exactly where Mega Man 8 left off.
In Mega Man 9, there are robotic riots occurring around the world. At first everyone thinks it is Dr. Wily’s doing, but then they see that many of the robots causing trouble were created by Dr. Light. To make matters worse, Dr. Wily has shows up on TV stating that he’s being framed by Dr. Light, who has decided to turn evil and unleash bad robots on humanity. So Mega Man heads off to show Dr. Wily for the liar and troublemaker he is, destroying the bad robots on the way.

Megaman returns to his roots in Mega Man 9
The next issue of Nintendo Power offers quite a revelation - the return of the old-school Mega Man. Apparently Capcom is taking a step back with the Wiiware release of Mega Man 9. It will be like the original Mega Man games, where Mega Man will have to go through levels for each boss before finally meeting the ultimate boss (presumably Dr. Wily).
This leak is thanks to user Syl at The Mega Man Network. Syl posted images from the issue of Nintendo Power that show all of the information on Mega Man 9. While the screen shots are small and a not perfect, they’re good enough to draw quite a bit of information from.
Another Resident Evil 5 announcement
Oh Resident Evil, how I’ve missed you. Capcom has released quite a bit of new information on Resident Evil 5. No, it isn’t another controversial trailer, and it isn’t an announcement that the game’s location and enemies will be adjusted to address racial concerns. Instead, it is a press release discussing the challenges Chris Redfield will face in the latest entry in the series and a new .
Once again, Chris isn’t exactly fighting zombies. In Resident Evil 5, Chris is sent to Africa to discover who is behind a bioterrorist attack which has driven the native people and animals insane and turned them into monsters. Players, as Chris, must defend themselves, find out what is going on and try and keep more damage from being done.
Be Dante on your Verizon phone
Verizon cell phones have received yet another exclusive game - Devil May Cry 3D. Devil May Cry 3D is, as the title insinuates, a mobile 3D version of the Capcom Devil May Cry games people have fallen in love with.
So Devil May Cry 3D has players guiding Dante through 50 missions as he hunts down Virgil, his villainous half-brother. Like in the consoles, players get to use his dual pistols and Devil Arms for attacks. There’s also a Challenge Mode, where players can try and race through 20 floors of enemies for bragging rights.
Stumped by Neopets Puzzle Adventure
How, well, unusual. Capcom, Infinite interactive and Neopets have teamed up to work on a new puzzle adventure for the Wii, DS and PC - Neopets Puzzle Adventure. Bet you never expected to see that combination. Infinite Interactive previously developed the PC, PS2 and Xbox 360 versions of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. The puzzle game is scheduled to hit stores before the end of 2008.
Like Puzzle Quest, Neopets Puzzle Adventure will be an RPG puzzle game. Players will pick a Neopet character avatar and face off against other Neopet characters in Reversi/Othello battles. Supposedly there will be almost 150 different quests to undertake in the game and codes to earn that can be used at the Neopets website.
