Just got word from Kate Pietrelli of TriplePoint that the company is going to announce the public Open Beta launch of their new MMO zOMG! today (November 6, 2008.)

Champions Online is an upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) based on the Champions role-playing game that was first published back in 1981. It’s being developed by Cryptic Studios, a company you’re probably familiar with thanks to its work on City of Heroes, another superhero-themed MMORPG.

Activision has officially started the closed multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War exclusively on the Xbox 360. The multiplayer portion of the game is expected to be just as good or even better than Call of Duty 4. The beta is only running for a few weeks so time is of the essence. Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment’s (CME) upcoming massively multiplayer online role-playing game Stargate Worlds will enter a closed beta phase on Wednesday (October 15, 2008), according to a press release issued by Firesky, the game’s publisher.
