I know that everyone and their dog seems to write a blog post about Zero Punctuation every week, but this is different. Yahtzee, the motor-mouthed misanthrope who hilariously reviews games every week on the escapist; has turned his sights to webcomics. In the video, he brutally dissects the tropes of the gaming webcomic (and the entire culture of game humor, really) while maintaining a sort of ironic stance. That is, what he does every week is quite similar to what most webcomic artists do.
In fact, he even makes note of his purposeful hypocrisy towards the end of the “review”. I don’t know why, but I’m sort of reminded by the time Uwe Boll had a fit and called himself the only genius in the business when discussing the abysmal Postal. Of course, the difference is that Yahtzee is actually talented. Bizarre.
