Nearly everyone would love to be in a movie. The only problem is breaking into the business. Fall 2008 you’ll be able to take those aspirations and project them into You’re in the Movies on Xbox 360. You’re in the Movies is an attempt to appeal to a family-friendly market and what better way to do that than to laugh at your family as they convey horrible acting skills in front of everyone? All you need to play is the Xbox Live Vision camera (which is included with the game) and a sense of humor.
The game works by putting players into a series of mini games that record their actions. In the end, everything that’s done is placed into a short film and played back to you. There are different genres of movies you can partake in. You’re even able to pick to script to act out. To add onto the fun, a friend can pick a script for you to act out. The experience will often result in utter hilarity.
The director in You’re in the Movies judges how well you do according to your physical movements during the mini games. Afterwards, a score will be given to separate the A-list stars from the C-list bums. Lets say you’re ready to make the move from actor to director. You’re in the Movies includes a Director Mode that lets you edit your own unique creations. Feel free to put in your own music, and even do voice overs. Everything you create whether you’re playing director or actor can be downloaded to your computer and sent all over the world.
