Xbox Live to offer GDC 2008 news

by Pulkit Chandna on Feb 16, 2008 at 12:46 PM

Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2008 LogoMicrosoft is gearing up to provide Xbox Live users around the globe with this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) coverage. Live users can stay abreast with the latest Xbox 360 related news, including the keynote by Xbox Live boss, John Schappert, from the comforts of their home – or wherever their 360 might be - as Microsoft will feed them with free downloadable high-definition footage, screenshots and demos.

Microsoft has sought to use Xbox Live as its promotional mouthpiece and the “Bringing it Home Campaign” during E3 2006 was the first time it relayed Xbox-related news from a major gaming convention straight to Xbox Live users for free.

Microsoft’s coverage of Xbox-related news from GDC will begin on February 20, 2008. It will also make available footage from John Schappert’s keynote address titled “A Future Wide Open: Unleashing the Creative Community.” But Schappert’s keen insights on the future of creativity within the industry is not all, you can look forward to glimpses of many new games, besides completely new footage, screenshots and demos of other upcoming titles. The Moscone Center, San Francisco will play host to this year’s GDC from February 18-22.
