Telltale Games has just revealed that its first XBox LIVE Arcade episodic game is going to be, drumroll please, Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures. As you can tell, it’s going to star the famous Aardman Animations duo. Seems like a perfect fit to me. We’ll all have to wait until the Q2 2009 to start playing the first episode though.
It turns out that Aardman Animations is working with Telltale Games when it comes to the storyline and characters, so the characters will seem exactly like they do in the short films. Telltale has also confirmed that players will get to control both Wallace and Gromit, and that a special control scheme is being developed for the Xbox 360 version.
I’m so glad that this, like the other Telltale Games episodic titles, is going to be multiplatform. I absolutely adore Wallace & Gromit! And since Telltale Games did such a phenomenal job on both Sam & Max and Strongbad’s Cool Game for Attractive People, I’m sure Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures will be great as well.
