midway surreal softwear this is vegasIt seems that everyone wants a piece of Las Vegas these days: professional sports teams, hit TV shows, major motion pictures and of course, the video games industry with such releases as the upcoming Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. Now Midway and Surreal want a piece of Sin City with their upcoming open-world title simply named, This is Vegas.

Midway and Surreal Software is looking to bring a new twist to the popular open-world genre with the release of This is Vegas. Filled with plenty of gambling, parties, fast cars and even faster women, gamers will try to reclaim Vegas from megalomaniacs with fat pockets who are trying to transform the adult fantasy playground into something more family friendly. The only way to stop Vegas from becoming Mayberry is to use Vegas as your own privet playground.

This is Vegas is meant to be a lighthearted, satirical and comedic game instead of the usual blood, gore and violence. Players will be encourage to play out their fantasies, party and drink into the wee hours of the morning and gamble, gamble, gamble until you need a second mortgage on your house and your digital wife leaves you for her divorce lawyer.

This is Vegas is set for a fall 2008 release for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. So far the ESRB hasn’t giving a rating for This is Vegas, but you can count on it being a Mature title.
