Wal-Mart exclusive retailer for AC/DC Live: Rock Band

by Jenni Lada on Oct 1, 2008 at 08:59 AM

AC/DC Black IceA recent announcement from Wal-Mart and MTV Games will give Rock Band fans a whole new reason to shop at the big box retailer - like an annoying friend who always has to call “shotgun,“ Wal-Mart has dibs on not only AC/DC’s Black Ice album, but will also be the only place to find AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack. Wal-Mart has also stated that it going to take steps to make sure the game and CD are visible in every Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club store. If you aren’t near either store, don’t worry - the Wal-Mart website will also carry the game.

AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack features 18 songs from AC/DC, and let me assure you, it is epic. Of course, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 versions of the game will be released, with the PS2 version costing $29.88 and the next-gen console versions costing $39.88. It currently has a tentative early November, 2008 release date.

The AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack track listing, taken from the press release, is as follows:

  1. “Thunderstruck”
  2. “Shoot to Thrill”
  3. “Back in Black”
  4. “Hell Ain’t a Bad Place to Be”
  5. “Heatseeker”
  6. “Fire Your Guns”
  7. “Jailbreak”
  8. “The Jack”
  9. “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”
  10. “Moneytalks”
  11. “Hells Bells”
  12. “High Voltage”
  13. “Whole Lotta Rosie”
  14. “You Shook Me All Night Long”
  15. “T.N.T.“
  16. “Let There Be Rock”
  17. “Highway To Hell”
  18. “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)”

AC/DC’s next cd, Black Ice, will precede the game as it comes out on October 20, 2008. Also, if you happen to live outside the US, don’t worry - you’ll get the game too. Australians and Europeans will be able to pick up AC/DC Live: Rock Band in December at pretty much any video game retailer they frequent.
