VH1 releases four new web games
Complete with a wood paneling background, VH1 has made available four web games based on (now) classic rock musicians shows. Yep, VH1 cannot escape the ‘80s.
All of the games are free, require Flash player, at least a 500 MHz processor (for good timing), Direct X 7 (really?) and feature 16-bit style/simulated graphics. These are additions to the VH1 Classic Arcade site which includes puzzle games and a few other VH1 original games. All use a mouse and very simple controls.
Here are descriptions straight from the press release with brief comments in parens:
Ozzy’s Bat Bite – Help the “Prince of Darkness” bit off the heads of falling bats, but avoid the doves. (Think Kaboom, though much sillier and less fatal… for you.)
Genesis Genius – See if you can reunite the Genesis band by answering a series of trivia questions. (Straight up trivia game that only Genesis fans will enjoy playing).
Heart Attack – Help Heart collect hearts while avoiding enemies based on characters from their songs. (Uber lame dodging game).
ZZ Top’s Beard Brawl – Protect ZZ Top’s world-famous beards from the dangerous onslaught of cigarette butts, razors and other projectiles by spinning their guitars to fight them off. (Kinda like Asteroids but not nearly as fun).
