Uwe Boll confirms he is working on Bloodrayne 3
Bloodrayne was a once promising game franchise featuring a sexy vampire heroine who kills Nazis. How could that be anything but cool? Well, now Bloodrayne is infamous for two really horrible Uwe Boll movies based on the character.
There’s no kind of Uwe Boll movie other than really horrible, unfortunately. The German director best known for excruciatingly bad game-to-film adaptations confirmed he is working on a third Bloodrayne installment.
Boll told Dread Central the third film will be called Bloodrayne 3: Warhammer and that Kristanna Loken, who starred in the first film, is returning. Also, Bloodrayne is going back to her gaming roots as the film is set during World War II.
That gives me a little hope.
OK, it really doesn’t. It just makes me weep for Loken’s movie career. I thought she made a decent Terminator but like everything else he touches, Boll just ruined Bloodrayne for me.
The film is scheduled to start shooting in January 2010, which should put it straight to DVD a couple of months after that and basic cable (lookin’ at you, SyFy) by this time next year.
