Ubisoft must really be doing well with its Petz line of games, as it has just announced a unique line of stuffed toys, created with Commonwealth Toy Company, to coincide with three new DS games. So if you decide to pick up the DS games Petz Catz Clan, Petz Dogz Pack or Petz Monkeyz House, you can also get a stuffed cat, dog or monkey with a code to unlock that animal in your game.
The games are scheduled to be released this month. Dogz Pack is already available (it came out November 4, 2008), and Catz Clan and Monkey House come out November 18, 2008. The stuffed cats and dogs should already be in Target, Toys R Us, and Limited Too stores, but the stuffed monkey toys won’t be out until sometime in 2009. There will also be special, Target-exclusive UbiPetz characters, so if you decide to get a toy and game for a young gamer on your list, perhaps check Target first.
Commonwealth Toy Company is not only responsible for UbiPetz. It also had a hand in the Nintendogs stuffed toy line, and brought the TXT MSSNGRS, iPals, Puparazzi and Jelly Belly stuffed toys.
I’m glad those stuffed monkeys are delayed. They look creepy. Especially that black, white and gray one that keeps showing up. Scary.
