Toys R Us AdsToys R Us’ ad for December 13-19, 2009 was in this Sunday’s paper, and while there aren’t any specific, huge sales that you can take advantage of when searching for gifts, there are some quite a few offers where you can receive gift cards or discounts if you make certain purchases.

There are four different video game offers pertaining just to games. First, if you buy any two PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 games that cost $39.99 each, you get a $15 Toys R Us gift card. If you can find one more PS3, Wii or Xbox 360 game to bring the count up to three, you’ll get a $30 Toys R Us gift card.

There are two similar promotions for handheld games. If you purchase any two DS or PSP games that cost $29.99 each, you’ll get a $10 Toys R Us gift card. If you get three games that meet the criteria, you’ll get a $20 gift card.

You can also get a gift card when buying an iPod nano during the sale period. All 8gb 5th generation iPod nanos are $145 and come with a $15 Toys R Us gift card. You could include the card with the gift, and the recipient could take it to Toys R Us and pick up an iTunes gift card so they can load up their nano with music and games.
