A recent ad for the Toys R Us retail chain shows several discounted games as well as a free Star Wars: Clone Wars backpack offer. The sales started August 17, 2008, and continue through August 23, 2008.

The backpack, likely meant for kids (but that doesn’t mean you can’t have one too), retails for $10.99 but is free if you spend more than $30 on Star Wars stuff by August 23, 2008. The ad includes several discounted Star Wars items including ships, Lego kits, toy blaster and figures.

As for the game offers the list from page 4 includes:

• Xbox 360 Arcade System (5 Games Included Boom Boom Rocket, Uno, Pac-Man CE, Feeding Frenzy & Luxor 2) for $279.99
• Wii Game System Console for $249.99
• Save $25 on Nintendo DS Value Pack for $137.97 ($162.97 if sold separately). System choices include Rose Metallic, Cobalt, Crimson/Black, Onyx, Polar White and Hannah Montana Case with a choice of either Hannah Montana or Hannah Montana Music Jam DS game.
• Nintendo DS Pokémon Bundle (Includes Exclusive Case. Save $15 when you buy a DS Pokémon Bundle & one of these games) for $129.99
• Wii Dance Pad for $29.99
• Wii Sing Song Duet Microphones for $29.99
• Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price on ALL Xbox 360 games

Also, on page 3, are two Nintendo DS Lunch Box Starter Kits featuring Mario and Spondgebob Squarepants for $9.99 each, previously priced at $29.99 each. Not listed in the ad are also a Princess Peach and Yoshi version of the same lunch box also for $9.99.  Each kit comes with a car adapter (worth the price right there), headphones, 3 color-coordinated stylus, 2 screen protectors and a themed system Skin.
As with all Toys R Us sales, make sure you check your local ad since the prices may vary according to region.
