The X205-SLi’s processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 (45 nm) that clocks 2.1 GHz with a 3 Mb L2 cache. Besides the processor, the NVIDIA SLI graphics - with not one but two Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT graphic processing units - will make life a whole lot of fun for the professional ilk of gamers by rendering true-to-life graphics. The SLI graphics will give you brisk frame rates even at higher resolutions.
With the size of games ratcheting up by the day, Toshiba has ensured that there is never any shortage of disk storage space as the notebooks in this series come up with dual hard drives with total space of 320 GB.
Unfortunately, there is one downside to the notebook series: its HD DVD drive, which is not of any use since the high definition storage format is now defunct, making it a collector’s item at best. I guess they might have a contingency plan to soon replace it with a Blu-ray drive.
Satellite X205 SLi-2 and Satellite X205 SLi-4 are the two models in this gaming notebook series with the latter having slightly better specs and, therefore, a higher price. The SLi-2 is priced at $1999.99 while the Sli-4 commands a slightly higher price of $2499.99.
You can scan through the specs of both the notebooks if you plan to buy one or, probably, just want to have the merriest of geeky dreams:
