Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction Xbox 360 bundle is boring

Xbox 360 250gb splinter cell conviction bundleBundle releases are supposed to be special! Well, at least a little special. Like the Xbox 360 Final Fantasy XIII bundle comes with a hard drive that has Final Fantasy XIII written on it and, if you order it from Amazon you get a special FFXIII faceplate. The Resident Evil 5 Xbox 360 bundle came with a red console! Even the holiday bundle created for the 2009 shopping season was unique, as it gave you two games. It makes the just announced Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction bundle look bad!

Yes, another Xbox 360 bundle is on the way. On April 13, 2010, the totally average Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction bundle will be in stores. There’s nothing special about it at all. You just get a black Xbox 360 Elite console, the Splinter Cell: Conviction game, two black, wireless controllers, and the 250gb hard drive. The box art above shows a headset on the side too, and Kombo.com mentions it comes with one, so expect that to be in the box.

Like the 250gb Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle, the 250gb Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction bundle will cost you $399.99. If you already own an Xbox 360, but want the game, you can pick up Splinter Cell: Conviction April 13 for $59.99.

It really is disappointing that something extra wasn’t done for this bundle. Perhaps a decorative console skin or faceplate.
