A trio of new combatants has been added to the ever-growing list of playable characters for the upcoming Soul Calibur IV. Setsuka will be making her return to the series after joining the cast in SCIII, while a pair of brand-new characters are being introduced as well.
The two new fighters are Asholette and Shura, both designed by famed manga artists. Asholette was created by Oh! Great, who has been behind the likes of Tenijho Tenge and Air Gear, while Hiroya Oku (Hen, Gantz) drew up Shura. These characters will bring the total of new additions to seven, including the console exclusive versions of Darth Vader and Yoda. Overall, there are 31 confirmed characters for the game.
SCIV is looking to bring more then new characters to the series, including all new critical finish moves and - for the first time in the series - online play. The game is set to be released July 29, 2008, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
