More information and images have been revealed concerning the God of War PSP pack which will be available sometime in June, 2008. It will feature a red PSP slim, two games, a UMD movie and the appropriate charger cords. The back of the PSP features an image of Kratos’ face done in white, similar to Star Wars PSP, which featured Darth Vader’s face on the back. The pack will retail for $199.99.
It seems like a nice deal, but also is a bit disappointing if you look closer. Yes, it comes with God of War: Chains of Olympus, a PSN voucher to purchase Syphon Filter: Combat Ops from the Playstation Store and Superbad, but something is missing that was present in the Daxter bundle. That’s right, no memory card is included in this deal. This is especially disappointing when you consider that a memory card is necessary to procure the Syphon Filter title.
It does look fairly stylish, but I always preferred package deals which included memory cards when a system needed it. It seems like a hassle to pay $200 for something, and then pay an extra $30 or $40 so you progress past a certain point in a game.
