EA has just announced another The Sims 3 expansion pack. I know, it’s shocking. I’ll give you a moment to process it.
It’s expected, considering how many expansions The Sims (7) and The Sims 2 (8) had. The Sims 3: Ambitions is all about jobs. Hey, World Adventures don’t just finance themselves!
The Sims 3: Ambitions will not only add lots of extra jobs though, it will also allow players to follow their sims while they are at work. This is a first for the series, as normally sims will just get in a car, head to work, and then time will speed up until the work day ends. Now, players will get to see their sims work and decide how to handle situations at their jobs. This will effect their character’s career success.
The press release also mentions a handful of the new careers that will be included in the expansion. Here’s a quick list:
The architect and stylist jobs sound most interesting! Architects can have an effect on the Build and Buy Modes of the game, as they become more skilled, while stylists can add tattoos to characters.
The Sims 3: Ambitions will be available in June, 2010 and work with both PCs and Macs. A price hasn’t been announced, but I think it’s safe to assume it’ll cost $39.99, the same as The Sims 3: World Adventures.
