Yesterday, Activision announced that The Killers would be releasing their musical wares onto Guitar Hero World Tour’s musical store as downloadable content on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Not content to be left out of this party, MTV made it known that Rock Band would be receiving music from this group as well, on the very same day.
The songs that will be a part of Rock Band’s ever-expanding library include “Mr. Brightside” and “Smile Like You Mean It.” Along with these tracks, the song “Spaceman” will also be made available, which comes from the group’s new album Day & Age.
The songs are expected to be made available in the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 versions. So far, nothing has been mentioned about the price, however, if standard pricing procedures are anything to go by, they will most likely set gamers back $2.00 (160 Microsoft Points) for each individual track, and $5.50 (440 Microsoft Points) should gamers choose to purchase all of the songs at once.
While the music that The Killers play is not to my liking, selections like these speak favorably of the variety offered in these titles. More than ever, games like these truly can provide an experience that everyone, young, old, male or female, can appreciate.
