The one-on-one fighting genre is hoping to make a combat after Street Fighter IV debuts on consoles and PC sometime this winter. X-Play spoke with the producer of Street Fighter IV Yoshi Ono when he revealed that the came would be definitely coming in the winter in North America before the Japanese players are able to easily destroy all Americans (online, of course).
Street Fighter IV‘s imprecise “winter” release leads us to assume it will be out sometime between late December 2008 and March of 2009.
Some characters will be available on the console version that weren’t in the arcade build. Street Fighter IV is bringing back the traditional fighting game style that made it so popular in the days of the Super Nintendo by keeping the same button combination’s we just can’t forget. Our old favorites will be more hyper with both super and ultra combos.
We still don’t know if or when it’ll be released in North American arcades so we may just have to wait out the winter before we can get our hands on it. Street Fighter IV will be available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC (Windows).
