Spore creator Will Wright to give opening keynote at San Diego Comic-Con 2008
The San Diego Comic-Con is looking sweeter by the moment. Brainy game designer Will Wright (The Sims, Spore) will be making the opening day speech at his very first appearance at the event.
Wright will speak this Thursday (July 24, 2008) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in room 6CDEF, about his upcoming opus Spore and the MashON Spore Comic Book Creator, which allows players to take their Spore creature and bring them into a comic book story.
I wonder if he’ll bust out another of his famous power point presentations? Wright is a certified genius (well, certified by legions of geeks and popular opinion, anyway) and always interesting to listen to, so this will be one talk to watch for on Thursday. It’s another sign that the Spore-mania has risen to a fever pitch - will all the buzz surrounding the game and the super popular creature creator making waves already, September 7, 2008 (the game’s release date) is going to be huge.

Wright’s working hard to build up hype for Spore, not that the game needs it. It’s already got a ton. -SporedUp.com
