Spore confirmed for iPhone

Kotaku is reporting that Will Wright’s latest god game, Spore, will be arriving on the iPhone. No release date was given, though EA has announced that other games are in development for the iPhone and iPod touch. In the post, EA stated that they are

“thrilled to extend our relationship as a developer of games for various Apple products (Mac, iPod nano, video iPod and now iPhone & iPod touch)“

I’m thrilled to see some Mac/iPhone love for gamers. If EA starts this trend, you can bet other publishers will want a piece of the pie as well.
