PlayStation HOME to show E3 updates in new world

There’s a lot going on in PlayStation Home this week and in the upcoming weeks ahead. A new Home space just opened a new space called the Presentation Podium, a large gorgeous space with a humongous stage near the center area where players can watch E3 2009 without leaving their HOME or channel surf for the right station. Sony will stream coverage of E3 2009 to the Presentation Podium for players and chat with their friends about it in one huge space.

Another space coming to Sony Home will be the BUZZ! HQ world where players work together to solve the questions. Here’s a sneak peek of the upcoming BUZZ! HQ world:

Pushing the boundaries of Sony Home’s capabilities, BUZZ! HQ allows players to not only chat about the game, but to also work together to play a 64-player BUZZ! trivia game. Using four colored answer buttons on the floor, players must rush to their answers before the time runs out. According to the BUZZ! HQ blog there will be exclusive HOME prizes for the best players so start studying and brushing up on your trivia skills for this massive new game coming soon.

At the Mall the only new item available is the Ghostbuster fan pack at Threads located on the second floor of the Mall, the Ghostbuster Fan Pack is $1.99 and includes:

  • Green Slimer T-shirt for male and female
  • Black Stay Puft Marshmallow man T-shirt for male and female
  • Stay Puft Marshmallow Man figurine
  • Slimer figurine
  • Ecto-1 Model Car toy
  • Ghostbuster Trap toy
  • Ghostbuster PKE Meter toy

Inside XI: The Hub, a new alpha zone has opened. The testers just realized one of them could be the spy and Jess gone back into hiding but left more clues on her computer for players to solve. A new Alpha Zone has opened a massive labyrinth that players must work together to solve the puzzles that unlock the rest of the maze. The Ghost Maze just opened Friday, similar except now there are ghosts roaming the labyrinth that will kick you out of the game if they catch you so you have to look around the corner before you make a run for it. What makes this maze tough is the ghosts are random and not only do you have to find the trophy, you have to make it back out of the maze as well. If spooky sounds creep you out you might want to turn the volume down before you watch this clip. Check out the ghost maze:

While players are busy solving the mysteries of the new zone hoping it takes them one step closer to finding Xi, VeilCorps is on the move again. As if its bad enough there may be a spy among the AlphaTesters on HOME, now VeilCorps is moving into the real world. They have been seen touring the real world offering limo rides to gamers for their loyalty.
