Sodium One Hub and Personal Space

You won’t believe the clever new space called Sodium One that just opened up on PlayStation Home.

Enter the space using the teleporter located in Central Plaza between the Listen@Home station and the bowling alley, or look on your world map. Once you enter talk to VICKIE the Android located in the center of the Hub then tryout the new game in the next section of the hub to unlock your own free game/personal space called Salt Shooter. This is an amazing game and soon to be a favorite of shooter-style combat game fans. I totally love my new action-packed personal game space with a quick store access kiosk and leader board in the main area. Although I still can’t place furniture at the moment, but I’m sure they will fix this issue soon. But when you have a really cool game, who cares about sitting around or even decorating the space, right?

The game begins the minute you launch your hovertank into the vast desert to defend your base from the enemy. They will come at you fast and as you shoot them down, more powerful enemies will head your way to defend their outpost. Collect the extra parts they drop to upgrade your hovertank with stronger and more effective weaponry, replenish your shield and collect extra missiles (if you have the rocket launcher) to use against them. All I can say is this, homing missiles will be your best friends by level 3 and so will any jet pack and gun upgrades. So collect any and all items dropped by the enemy and upgrade your ship often before you reach the fifth level. You’ll definitely need them.

Salt Shooter is a 50-level combat game developed by Outso Ltd and published by Lockwood Publishing Ltd. exclusively for PlayStation Home. Note you’ll only have 5 levels to begin with and must purchase the Sodium One Pilot Outfit (see prices below) to unlock the rest of the game and gain access to the Pilot VIP area in the Sodium One Hub.

Participating in the mini-games around the Sodium One hub will also unlock upgrades, personal rewards and collectibles. All your actions are monitored and recorded by VICKIE who will keep track on the number of robot scorpions you killed in the desert area, drinking game scores at Scorpios and any quests you want to participate in. You can even trade the resources you found in the game such as Gold, Silver or Sodium for better upgrades or environment enhancements. Any questions you may have about the mini-games in the area or even how to accomplish them just talk to VICKIE. (Hint: To squish the robot scorpions sneak up behind them and step on them. The yellow ones are the easiest to squish, the red may take some strategy to even dent and the blue ones, I haven’t figured that one out yet but I suspect it has something to do with those ugly square boots at the store. I will post the hint when I figure it out.)

PixelJunk Mothership Hangar

The PixelJunk Mothership Hangar has been added to the PixelJunk Museum space along with more artifacts. Displays have been added for PixelJunk fans to explore by walking through the newly opened doorway behind the PixelJunk Museum Store area.

SingStar

The SingStar Room has been updated with new videos and tracks on the screen with a new reward item to unlock by dancing in the spotlight. The VIP room has re-opened its doors for the holiday with another unlockable reward item available just by dancing underneath the random SingStar logo when it appears. (Hint: The logo has been spotted mostly upstairs, so make your way upstairs and start dancing if the logo appears above your head you will receive a reward item.)

Theater

The previews for Legion is now playing in Auditorium 1 located on the left when you enter the theater. Watch the preview for a free Legion t-shirt for your avatar. For those who played the Christmas Tree mini-game and were not given the award for the proper response check Auditorium 6 often to receive the item. Just check the bulletin when you first sign into home for dates to check back to receive missing items.

Issues and updates

Remember, if anyone experiences any issues with personal items, spaces or games are encouraged to report the issue to Sony either through customer support or in the forums.

Resolved Issues:
• For those players who unlocked a Christmas tree by visiting Central Plaza and were disappointed that the tree was plain, check your inventory again and you will find that the tree is now fully decorated complete with gifts underneath the tree.
• Those who purchased the Male Ghostbusters™ Stay Puff Happy black tee and found the images were missing, the item has been fixed and the images are now displaying properly.
Temporary Issues:
• The Bobsledder items in the Costumes store are not displaying the correct items at this time. Sony is currently working to resolve this issue so please be patient.
Removed Items:
• The Q-Store located in the PixelJunk Museum has been removed. No information has been found if this is a permanent removal or only temporary.
