Jenni Lada brings us information about all of the groovy new gaming imports from around the world.

Well, “finally” doesn’t mean we have been having sleepless nights about the game, but seeing as how we can play the classic on just about everything out there, it was only a matter of time until Sega unleashed the little hedgehog on our iPhones.
Sonic the Hedgehog is going for the standard classic game rate of $5.99 and will use a virtual D-pad setup for controls, no funny accelerometer business here though I’ve just given myself a great picture of how Sonic Spinball could work. You can also play the game in either full screen or shrink it down to the “arcade mode.”
I played the game through the first Green Hill zone act and the game held up well, no slowdowns and all the classic Sonic traps and secrets were there including the giant ring at the end of the stage should you have enough rings.
So if you’ve been waiting to play Sonic on your iPhone or iPod Touch or just want to show off that your phone does what Nintendon’t (Sonic Rush and the Wii Virtual Console excluded), here you go.
