Sims 2 clothing coming to H&M
The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Runway contest has ended, and EA and H&M have announced that Beau Fornillos’ winning outfit will be sold in H&M stores worldwide. Let me back up - EA held a contest on TheSims2.com Exchange, where players could submit an original outfit created with the help of The Sims 2 Body Shop. The top outfits were shown on a Yahoo! The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Runway, where people could vote on the winner.
The winning outfit, shown at right, will be released in H&M stores in July. In Belguim, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, Sweden and UK, the outfit will be available after July 6, 2008. It will be available in US and Canada after July 31, 2008. It will cost $14.90. 1,000 H&M stores will be carrying the outfit, and you’ll be able to identify it by a special tag that mentions The Sims 2.
This is a pretty good way for EA to get publicity for the Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff pack. That’s one of the $19.99 packs where you just get a handful of extra outfits and objects. It doesn’t contain the winning outfit pictured at right.

Does the person that created the outfit get anything? O_o
on July 6, 2008 at 11:08 PM - LINKI actually don’t know if the winner gets anything other than the satisfaction of winning. I checked out the news story in my local paper, in the press release from EA, and at the sites above, and nothing else was mentioned.
I do know that there were quite a few finalists, and the fan favorite finalist’s outfit wasn’t the one chosen by H&M;to become a real outfit.

Once I get back home to my normal laptop, I’ll check it out for you and find out what the prize was. :D

If I had won, I would want some sort of prize to prove to people that it was me who won… :P
