Civilization is evolving, and I mean that literally. 2K released updated information regarding the latest expansion for one of Sid Meier’s many franchises in the form of Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword. This expansion pack for the PC game will be available July 23. 2007, in the US and the end of July 2007 for the rest of the world.

Sword will focus on late-game time periods (after the invention of gunpowder) and will include 10 new civilizations, 16 new leaders, five new “wonders, more than 30 units, 11 new scenarios by Firaxis Games and members of the Civilization Fan Community. Photos provided by Take2 show a couple famous faces including Sitting Bull and Abe Lincoln. Taking over the world just got more interesting, eh?
