The Tudors game is going to be a casual game that combines two popular genres, adventure and hidden object. The premise hasn’t been unveiled, but it will act as a sort of side-story and complement to the series, and center around a mystery players will have to solve.
The Tudors series covers the life of King Henry VIII. You know, the one with all the wives, many of whom end up dead. So far, the series has covered five of his six marriages (Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves and Kathyrn Howard). Since the timeline, characters and other historical facts are tweaked to make the show work as a drama, it’s more a work of historical fiction than fact.
I could see this working out well. The adventure genre would lend itself well to a historical game, as would hidden object. Especially since royalty in that time period had such lavish clothes and surroundings. I’d play it. I’m not a fan of the actual show, but I minored in history in college and The Other Boleyn Girl is one of my favorite books.
