A recent update on the <a href=Smash Bros. DOJO!! site has confirmed that Princess Zelda’s Sheik form will be included in Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the Wii. Like in Super Smash Brothers Melee, Sheik becomes available after using one of Zelda’s special moves and is not a separate character. To play as Sheik, a player must first select Princess Zelda as a fighter and then use her down special move.

The new Sheik design in Smash Brothers Brawl is a mixture of the Ocarina of Time version and hypothetical Twilight Princess concept art for the character. Sheik has three unique special moves, needle storm, chain and vanish, that Zelda does not have access to. Sheik and Zelda both share the same final smash.

So once again, Zelda will be one of the more versatile Smash Brothers characters. It is nice to see that Nintendo isn’t tweaking a character that works.
