Harmonix and MTV announced that Judas Priest’s entire Screaming for Vengeance album (1982) will be available for download beginning Tuesday, April 22, 2008, through Xbox Live and on Thursday, April 24, 2008, through Playstation 3.
Judas Priest consists of musicians K. K. Downing, Glen Tipton, Ian Hill and vocalist Rob Halford who helped define heavy metal in the ‘80s and have made the top billboard list with hits including “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” from Screaming For Vengeance.
According to Harmonix, each song will be available for $1.99 per track (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) or $14.99 (1200 Microsoft Points) for the entire album.
Screaming for Vengeance includes the familiar songs “The Hellion”, “Electric Eye”, “Riding on the Wind”, “Bloodstone”, “(Take These) Chains”, “Pain and Pleasure”, “Screaming for Vengeance”, “Fever” and “Devil’s Child”. Two songs from the album, “The Hellion” and “Electric Eye”, will be offered as a single download package.
Judas Priest will be added to the existing list popular bands already available for download on Rock Star’s website.
All tracks from the Judas Priest album are from the original master recordings to produce the best possible quality. The game is rated “Teen” by the ESRB for the music’s lyrics and mild suggestive themes.
