Everyone who thinks the Wii’s control scheme makes it ripe for adventure titles beyond Zack and Wiki and Strongbad on Wiiware, raise your hand. Sam and Max fans who also happen to fit into this category, do a little victory dance, because Sam and Max: Season One is all but assured to land on the Wii on November 4, 2008. Kotaku reports that a little digging on Gamespot’s website reveals the golden date, meaning that hardcore gamers will have something awesome to play this November. Ok, so the date hasn’t officially been confirmed yet, but it’s looking pretty solid.

As a huge fan of the genre, and the little dog and rabbit duo themselves, I’m mighty excited by this news. Long live adventure games!
